China and Mongolia to Collaborate in Building Stronger Neighborly Relations – Wang Yi
China and Mongolia have expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties and cooperation, setting an example for good neighborly relations. Wang Yi, a senior Chinese diplomat and member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister S.Amarsaikhan to discuss the future of their relationship.
During the meeting, Wang emphasized the significance of the commonalities shared by China and Mongolia, not only in geographical terms but also in their mutual interests and challenges. He stressed the importance of upholding mutual respect for independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as respecting each other’s core interests and concerns.
Wang urged both sides to strengthen trust, enhance communication, and steadfastly promote bilateral relations in the new era. He emphasized the need for steady progress and the building of a China-Mongolia community with a shared future.
In response, Amarsaikhan acknowledged the positive momentum in Mongolia-China relations, particularly in economic and trade cooperation. He praised the role of such cooperation in Mongolia’s economic development. Amarsaikhan expressed deep satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations and conveyed confidence in the future of the relationship. He also affirmed Mongolia’s commitment to pursuing a friendly policy towards China and pushing their ties to a new level.
The meeting between the senior Chinese diplomat and the Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister took place during the third China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation in China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. It reflects the ongoing efforts of the two countries to prioritize high-level exchanges and cooperation.
