Chinese automaker BYD presents Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with YANGWANG U8 SUV
Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a visit to the headquarters of BYD in Shenzhen, where he participated in the launch ceremony of a project for the assembly of hybrid and electric cars in the Jizzakh region. The project aims to have a capacity of 50 thousand units per year, with plans to expand the model range based on market demand and increase production capacity to 300 thousand per year in the near future.
During the visit, President Mirziyoyev also expressed support for BYD’s plans to establish the assembly of electric buses in Uzbekistan, including the localization of spare parts and the creation of engineering and service centers.
As a sign of the delivery of BYD’s 10,000th car to Uzbekistan, the Chinese EV maker, BYD, gifted President Mirziyoyev a YANGANG U8 SUV.
This visit signifies the growing partnership and collaboration between Uzbekistan and BYD in the development and production of electric vehicles. It also highlights the commitment to expanding the use of environmentally friendly and sustainable transportation options in the country.
