
Choi Hong Hi Memorial Championship

Memorial Tournament and Taekwondo League competitions were recently held in Kyrenia. The memorial championship, organized by the Taekwondo Judo Karate Aikido Federation, honored the memory of Choi Hong Hi, the founder of World Taekwondo.
The championship took place yesterday and was managed by masters, including Öykü Ergin Anna Tüysüz, along with federation referees. Participants from various clubs competed and showcased their skills in honor of Choi Hong Hi.
Simultaneously, the 4th week of the 10-team Taekwondo league was held at the Eurasia Taekwondo Center. This league serves as a platform for athletes to demonstrate their talents and compete against each other in a friendly and competitive environment.
During both events, Federation President Eyüp Zafer Gökbilen, along with federation, region, and club representatives, presented awards to the athletes who achieved top rankings in their respective competitions.
These tournaments and leagues not only provide opportunities for athletes to showcase their skills but also promote the sport of Taekwondo and honor its esteemed founder. The participants and organizers should be commended for their dedication and hard work in making these events successful.
