CHP’s President’s pre-election ends in voting process
The Republican People’s Party (CHP) has decided to hold a pre-election to determine the presidential candidate for the next general election. The voting process was extended until 19.00.
Two crates were established
The voting process took place at the Kadıköy Caferağa Sports Hall, where party members and citizens attended the elections starting at 08.00. Party members cast their votes inside the hall, while citizens voted at solidarity chests placed outside the hall.
Voting started at 08.00
Many people in Avcılar started voting early in the morning. Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was the only candidate in the presidential pre-election, along with party members, non-CHP members were also able to vote at the solidarity funds. There were election centers in 10 neighborhoods in Avcılar, and the voting centers experienced a high turnout from the early hours of the morning.
He used the private game in Saraçhane
CHP Chairman Ozgur Ozel arrived at Saraçhane at 13.30 and cast his vote. Ozel emphasized the importance of the democratic process in determining the candidate and the support from both the members and the general public.
‘He will be elected as a proxy’
Regarding the upcoming plans, Ozel mentioned that there will be discussions with the Provincial President and a proxy will be selected from the voting process.
Voting process ended
The voting process for the CHP’s presidential candidate concluded at 19.00, and party officials began the vote count. The results of the pre-election will have a significant impact on the upcoming general election.
