CHP Salıcı responds to Minister Ersoy – CNN TÜRK Breaking News

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy Responds to Allegations by CHP Deputy

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has responded to the allegations made by CHP deputy Oguz Kaan Salıcı regarding land allocations. Minister Ersoy dismissed the claims as unsubstantiated, stating that there is an attempt to create a perception through distorted information.

Salıcı had claimed that a piece of land in the Kundu region of Antalya was allocated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. However, Minister Ersoy clarified that the land in question was allocated to two separate companies by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 1997. He explained that after the companies requested a parcel separation process, one of them later purchased the land.

Furthermore, Minister Ersoy addressed the allegations of a new zoning plan being implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the area. He stated that the claims do not reflect the truth, emphasizing that the current zoning plan for the region has been in force since 2022.

In response to the CHP deputy’s mention of an EIA report, Minister Ersoy highlighted that according to legal regulations, only facilities with over 250 rooms are required to submit an EIA report. He noted that the project planned for the land in question consists of 240 rooms, which falls below the threshold for an EIA report.

Minister Ersoy concluded by stating that Salıcı’s allegations would be subject to legal scrutiny and that a judicial process for possible compensation of 5 cents will be pursued.
