CHP wraps up crucial MYK meeting, Sinan Ogan meeting on the cards

The main opposition party in Turkey, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), has completed its Vote Quality Analysis (VQA). CNN TÜRK correspondent Melike Görür reported from CHP Headquarters about the findings of the analysis. According to the information obtained, all members of the VQA have identified the incident and determined why the low votes have been received. The conclusion drawn was that if the IYI Party had not been abolished and had received 15 percent of the votes, this picture would not have happened.

All staff members made observations during the analysis, and the predominant opinion was that the desired votes could not be obtained due to being associated with terrorism. The CHP has no time to hold a rally, so they are now looking for another method to work from now on. Sinan Ogan, a former member of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), who recently established his own party, called the CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and congratulated him on the night of the election last night.

The VQA is a crucial process for political parties in Turkey as it helps identify the reasons for low voter turnout or loss of votes compared to previous elections. The CHP’s findings are significant because they show that if other opposition parties had not been abolished or merged, the outcome of the election could have been different.

The CHP is now working towards finding alternative ways to communicate its message to voters and win their support. The association with terrorism seems to have hurt the party’s chances in the recent election. This analysis shows that there is a need for the party to rebrand itself and find a new narrative to attract voters and stay relevant in Turkish politics.
