Personnel Changes at Bishkek City Hall
In the latest news from Bishkek, the capital’s City Hall has announced some personnel changes. According to the press service, Chyngyz Zhumaliev has been appointed as the new Director of Bishkekvodokanal municipal enterprise. This decision was made official with a signed order by Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev.
Chyngyz Zhumaliev takes over the position previously held by Kadyrbek Otorov. Zhumaliev, who was already the head of Bishkekvodokanal from January to September 2024, recently served as a deputy of the Bishkek City Council from the Zhany Kuch – New Force party. However, his mandate was terminated by the Central Election Commission on March 27 and transferred to the next candidate on the party’s list, Almazbek Ulugbekov.
Born on April 22, 1989, Chyngyz Zhumaliev has a background in law, economics, and international relations. He graduated from the Kyrgyz State National University, the Kyrgyz Economic University, and the Diplomatic Academy. Zhumaliev has also served as a deputy in the Bishkek City Council for multiple convocations.
The appointment of Chyngyz Zhumaliev as Director of Bishkekvodokanal marks a significant change in leadership at the municipal enterprise. Residents of Bishkek will be watching closely to see how he navigates the challenges and opportunities that come with this new role.
