Australian PKK Member Captured in Istanbul
Çiğdem Aslan, a member of the Australian branch of the terrorist organization PKK, has been apprehended in Istanbul. Security sources have revealed that Aslan was actively involved in various actions and events carried out on behalf of the separatist terrorist organization in Australia, prompting the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) to keep a close eye on her for an extended period.
It is believed that Aslan, who has connections with high-ranking members of the PKK, was planning to travel from Istanbul Airport to Australia. However, in a successful joint operation between MİT and the Istanbul Police Department’s Counter-Terrorism Branch (TEM), Aslan was arrested.
After being brought before a judge, the PKK/KCK member was promptly sent to prison to await further legal proceedings. This significant capture underscores the ongoing efforts of Turkish security forces to combat terrorism and dismantle extremist groups both within the country and abroad.
