Ongoing collective bargaining negotiations between Şehir Hatları AŞ and the Turkish Seafarers’ Union have failed to reach a consensus, leading to whistle actions on the ferries. The union first initiated the whistle action on April 28 and announced that they would continue to carry out daily actions starting on May 1, Labor and Solidarity Day. The ferries connected to City Lines joined in on the whistling action, along with ferries waiting for their passengers at different piers in the Bosphorus. City Lines employees also showed their support for the action with applause.
