
CoE Committee of Ministers Praises Progress Towards Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace

Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, has expressed his support for the steps taken towards peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Speaking at the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers spring session, Bettel highlighted the importance of these positive developments in the normalization of relations between the two countries.
“We should be happy about the positive steps taken towards the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Although these advances are not yet enough, every step towards peace is important for us and we should support it,” Bettel stated during the committee’s session.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the significance of supporting any progress made towards peace and reconciliation in the region. While acknowledging that more work needs to be done, Bettel’s remarks underscored the importance of continuing the dialogue and efforts towards resolving the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
