
Company Announces Freeze on Salary and Pension Increases

The Ministry of Economy and Finance Denies Reports of Salary, Pension, and Allowance Increases
The Ministry of Economy and Finance has refuted claims circulating on social media about a 10% increase in salaries, pensions, and allowances from March 1 and August 1, 2025. In a statement released by the ministry, it was emphasized that such reports do not align with reality.
Official information regarding salaries and pensions in Uzbekistan will be communicated through the appropriate state channels. It was also highlighted that the last increase in pensions and allowances occurred in September 2024 when a 15% raise was implemented. Furthermore, starting from October 1, 2024, employees in budgetary organizations saw a 10% increment in their salaries, while teachers and medical workers received a 15% raise.
As of September 1, 2024, the following pension and allowance amounts were established:
– The base amount for pension calculation – 428,000 UZS per month;
– The minimum old-age pension – 834,000 UZS per month;
– The minimum disability pension – 920,000 UZS per month.
The ministry advised citizens to rely on credible sources for accurate information and cautioned against propagating unverified news. It is crucial for individuals to stay informed through official channels to avoid misinformation and confusion.
