Bishkek State University Rector Steps Down, Ministry Announces Recruitment Process
The Rector of the Bishkek State University named after K. Karasaev has officially resigned from his position after 14 years of service. The news was confirmed by employees of the educational institution and reported by the 24.kg news agency.
Former Rector Abdylda Musaev’s departure has led to the appointment of Vice-Rector Gulnara Murzakhmetova as the acting head of BSU until a new Rector is appointed through a competition facilitated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Ministry has announced that the competition to fill the position of Rector is now open to qualified candidates under the age of 65, meeting specific criteria including having a higher professional education, an academic degree, academic title, and at least five years of experience in research or scientific and pedagogical work.
Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline of February 20, 2025. This transition marks a new chapter for Bishkek State University as it prepares to welcome new leadership to guide the institution in its mission of academic excellence and innovation.
