Competition Committee Investigates “Maxam-Chirchiq” JSC for Unjustified Fertilizer Price Increases

The JSC “Maxam-Chirchiq” has recently increased prices for mineral fertilizers by an average of 10% to 15%, prompting concerns from the Competition Committee. Signs of actions that could lead to an unjustified increase in product prices were identified due to non-compliance with existing regulatory documents in the formation of mineral fertilizer prices produced by the company.
As a result of this price increase, agricultural enterprises such as clusters, farmers, and dekhans may be directly affected, potentially leading to an increase in agricultural product prices. The Competition Committee has initiated proceedings against “Maxam-Chirchiq” JSC for signs of violation of the law “On Competition.”
This is not the first time the Competition Committee has taken action against companies for artificially raising prices. In the past, proceedings were initiated against “Navoiyazot” JSC and “Lukoil” for similar practices.
It is important for companies to comply with regulatory documents and laws to ensure fair competition and pricing in the market. Any unjustified price increases can have a significant impact on consumers and the overall economy.
