Couples who have been eagerly waiting to take the first step towards marriage on a special date created a rush at Adana Metropolitan Municipality Marriage Branch Directorate. Due to the overwhelming demand, couples were married at intervals of 15 minutes in the marriage office.
Metropolitan Municipality Marriage Branch Manager, Mehmet Özdemir, highlighted that couples are choosing special dates like 24.04.2024 or Valentine’s Day to make their wedding day unforgettable. Today, many couples are tying the knot on April 24, 2024, leading to a busy day for the directorate.
Servet Büyük, who decided to get married today, expressed his happiness to marry Merve Birkeser, his partner of 2 years, on such a meaningful date. Merve Birkeser also shared her excitement about commemorating a special day in a more significant way.
In another city, Mersin, 17 couples also chose 24.04.2024 as their wedding date. Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Marriage Officer, Dilek Yörük, mentioned the high demand due to the significance of April 24. Tolga Köse and Ayşegül Akin, a couple who got married on this date, emphasized the importance of choosing a special day to create lasting memories.
