Construction Begins on Beyarmudu Border Gate Improvement Project – BRTK
The Land Border Gate Improvement Committee, established under the instructions of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, has initiated work on the Beyarmudu Border Gate Improvement Project. The committee is scheduled to conduct a field visit at the Beyarmudu Land Border Gate on Monday to assess the feasibility of the project.
According to information from the Prime Ministry, the objective is to commence work at the Beyarmudu Land Border Gate at the earliest opportunity.
A meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of State Planning Organization Undersecretary Durali Güçlüsoy as part of the ongoing studies. Beyarmudu Mayor Bülent Bebek, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Planning and Construction Department, and the Highways Department also participated in the meeting to discuss and evaluate the projects.
Improvement plans for the Beyarmudu Land Border Gate include increasing cabins and personnel, lane expansion works, and other measures aimed at alleviating congestion.
In addition, improvement works have commenced at the Metehan Kara Border Gate. The project, set to be completed in June, involves adding extra lanes, increasing the number of cabins and officers, expanding the car park, and enhancing landscaping.
