
Czech Foreign Minister Expected to Visit Uzbekistan

Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs to Embark on Diplomatic Trip to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
Jan Lipavský, the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to undertake a diplomatic journey to Kazakhstan on October 21 and Uzbekistan on October 22.
During his visit to Kazakhstan, Lipavský will have meetings with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtileu. The discussions will center on boosting bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, defense industry, and the advancement of air transport.
Moving on to Uzbekistan on October 22, Lipavský will give a lecture at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Subsequently, he will participate in talks with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojaev.
This visit by a Czech foreign minister marks the first time since 1995 that such a diplomatic mission has been made to Uzbekistan. The Czech government has praised Uzbekistan’s ongoing initiatives in digitalization and modernization, with Czechia eager to share its expertise in these areas.
