
Dedicated Farmer Takes Injured Calf to Vet Without Hesitation – Breaking News in Turkey

13-year-old Ilkay Dursun showed incredible compassion and bravery when he refused to leave the side of his sick calf on the way to the vet. Living in the village of Osmaniye, Ilkay went to the barn with his father in the morning to feed their animals when they discovered the sick calf.
Not wanting to leave the calf alone, Ilkay hugged the scared animal tightly throughout the entire journey to the vet. Emotional moments were captured by surrounding citizens who marveled at the young boy’s devotion to his animals.
Ilkay, who helps his family with their livestock, expressed his love for animals saying, “My father has shepherds and sheep. I also help my father. I love animals very much.”
Despite balancing school and helping his family, Ilkay’s priority was clear as he didn’t hesitate to comfort his sick calf. Reflecting on the experience, he shared, “The calf was sick. We took him to the vet. I hugged him when he started to fear. The vet gave him serum, he could have died. I love animals.”
