Defense Industry President Görgün featured on TRT News
Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün gave an overview of their recent achievements and future plans during a statement. He highlighted the success of their marine systems deliveries in early 2024, the first flight of KAAN, and the continued development of products in the marine field. Görgün mentioned the successful testing of TB3, which flew over 700 hours and completed 45 test flights. He also mentioned the UAV TCG, capable of landing and taking off in Anatolia, and the ongoing developments in their products.
In terms of exports, Görgün reported that they have reached 4.3 billion dollars in the first 9 months of the year, with a 12 percent increase compared to the previous year. They have signed new contracts, including one worth more than 7 billion dollars, and are planning for a year-end contract worth between 11-12 billion dollars. The Defense Industry President emphasized the motivation of their employees and the importance of a sense of belonging to the country for the development of defense technology.
The international recognition of their products was also noted, with Görgün mentioning the game-changing UCAVs and the increased awareness of Turkey’s developments in defense technology around the world. He highlighted the use of domestic engines in their platforms and the ongoing work on developing new engines for their vehicles. The Defense Industry President also mentioned an upcoming product introduction at the SAHA EXPO, featuring an engine for an unmanned water vehicle.
