Hungary and Turkey Strengthen Ties in Defense Industry
The Defense Industry Workshop held in Hungary saw the announcement of a new partnership between the two countries. Hungarian Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky mentioned that they see Turkey as a model when it comes to military matters, emphasizing the strong development and performance of the country in recent years. Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır’s visit to Hungary involved an inter-delegation meeting with the country’s Minister of Defense, and included 10 defense industry companies from Turkey. The goal is to establish stronger ties through cooperation in the field of defense industry.
The interview delegation included representatives from the Presidency of Defense Industries, BMC, Nurol Makina, and Roketsan. Minister Kacır stated that the visit aimed to develop new collaborations, building upon the strong will and cooperation vision displayed by the leaders of the two countries at the highest level.
In addition to the meeting, Minister Kacır also attended the Defense Industry Workshop in Budapest, where he held discussions with the Board of Directors of the Turkish-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and visited the Zalazone Electric Vehicle Development and Verification Test Center.
The announcement of the new partnership and the shared goal of strengthening and developing the defense industry of Hungary are strategic initiatives that are expected to have a significant impact on both countries’ capabilities in this important sector. This collaboration is seen as a positive step towards furthering innovation and progress in the defense industry.
