Demolition of Inappropriate Buildings Planned in Tashkent Region

The administration has made a decision to dismantle one-story buildings on school grounds in the Tashkent region. Several unsuitable buildings have been identified for demolition, as stated in a decree published by the regional governor on April 17 in the E-qaror electronic system.
The regional commission for housing and communal services identified the following unsuitable objects to be demolished:
– One-story extensions to a school in the Zangiata district
– Three unsuitable one-story buildings on school grounds in the Buka district
– One one-story building in a school in the Tashkent region
Construction materials that are suitable for use will be officially registered according to the governor’s decree. The areas freed up from the demolitions are to be used in an effective manner.
Previous demolition operations have been carried out in the capital, with plans announced for new demolitions of illegal buildings. The Tashkent city administration has also announced a wave of demolition of illegal structures, including catering outlets, artificial barriers, and unauthorized fences that disrupt residents.
The Giotto restaurant’s summer terrace on Taras Shevchenko Street is among the structures in the queue for dismantling. The founder of the network, Kemal Kaya, expressed concerns about the lack of transparency in decision-making regarding demolitions.
Recently, unauthorized extensions and structures were dismantled in the Mirabad district of Tashkent, continuing the administration’s efforts to remove illegal buildings in the region.
