Bishkek, 14 November 2023 – The Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, Nurlanbek Shakiyev, recently met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Kyrgyzstan, Javad Awad, to discuss the current situation in Palestine. Additionally, he mentioned that a decision was made to transfer one-day salaries of deputies of the Parliament as assistance to the Palestinian people, and humanitarian aid will also be sent on behalf of the head of the state.

Ambassador Javad Awad emphasized that the violence and tragedies in Palestine have been ongoing for 75 years, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives and injuries, with a significant portion of them being children. He expressed gratitude to the President of Kyrgyzstan, the Parliament, and the public for their support during these tragic days for the Palestinian people.

The Ambassador urged the international community to take action to stop the Israeli occupation and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine, emphasizing the continued obstruction and destruction of hospitals.
