
Devastating Downpour in Karabük: Homes and Streets Underwater

The city center and Safranbolu district of Karabük faced severe flooding after heavy rain hit the area. Puddles of water formed on the streets and roads, causing disruptions in traffic and leaving some vehicles stranded. In addition, the basements of several workplaces and houses were flooded, leading to further damages.
Karabük Municipality teams quickly sprung into action to address the issue, starting work to evacuate the water accumulated at the iron-steel junction. The photo captured by a UAV shows the extent of the flooding in the area, with water covering the streets and causing inconvenience to residents and businesses.
According to reports, approximately 24 kilograms of precipitation fell per square meter, contributing to the flooding situation. Authorities are advising residents to take precautions and stay safe during this challenging time.
