Nicosia Capital Lions Club Donates Medical Equipment to State Hospitals

The Nicosia Capital Lions Club, led by Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu, has generously donated medical equipment to hospitals in need. The Oncology Service at the State Hospital received an infusion pump, while the neonatal intensive care unit at the Emergency Hospital was gifted with a Bilirubin measuring device.

According to Health Minister Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek, the Oncology Service at the State Hospital administers chemotherapy to an average of 60 patients daily, with a total of 1009 treatments provided in January alone. The donation of the infusion pump and Bilirubin measuring device will further enhance the services offered by these hospitals and help address any existing deficiencies.

In addition to these donations, Dinçyürek announced that the health services recently received two ambulances, with plans to increase this number to 10. The government is also working closely with non-governmental organizations to address any gaps in the healthcare system and ensure that patients receive the necessary care and medication.

Dinçyürek expressed gratitude to all those involved in the procurement of these devices and emphasized the government’s commitment to providing sustainable health services to the public. He also highlighted the collaboration with Motherland Turkey in the construction of new health centers and hospitals, showcasing ongoing efforts to improve the healthcare infrastructure.

The President of the Nicosia Capital Lions Club, Hanife Yusufoğlu, expressed hope that fewer patients would require these devices in the future and credited the contributions of all club members towards these donations. In recognition of their generosity, Dinçyürek presented the club with a plaque of appreciation for their valuable contributions to the community.

Overall, these donations underscore the importance of community support in enhancing healthcare services and improving the well-being of patients in need.
