Diplomatic Visa Abolished for Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela
During the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, met with his counterpart from Venezuela, Yvan Gil Pinto. The bilateral meeting focused on enhancing dialogue between the two countries and exploring areas of cooperation. They also underscored the importance of continued collaboration within international organizations, particularly with regards to Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy for non-permanent membership on the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.
Minister Kulubaev highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s multi-vector foreign policy and expressed interest in strengthening ties with Latin American nations. As a result of the meeting, both parties signed an agreement to abolish visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports between the Kyrgyz Republic and Venezuela.
This development signifies a step towards closer relations between the two countries and opens up opportunities for increased cooperation in various fields.
