Diving Specialists Undergo International Training in Issyk-Kul Region

An international training for diving specialists is currently taking place in the Issyk-Kul region, as reported by the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

Rescuers from 11 different countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Tunisia, Palestine, and others, are participating in advanced diving training in Issyk-Kul under the auspices of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO).

The training includes theoretical classes and practical exercises focusing on working underwater in high-altitude conditions, such as descending to depths of up to 30 meters, conducting underwater rescue operations, and applying first aid techniques.

These events, organized by ICDO, aim to strengthen international cooperation in civil defense and emergency prevention. The regional office of ICDO was opened in Bishkek in May 2024, with the chairmanship of the ICDO Executive Committee being transferred from Kyrgyzstan to Russia at the end of 2023.

This training serves as a testament to the commitment of various countries to enhance their capabilities in civil defense and emergency response, showcasing collaboration and expertise in the field of diving.
