Diyanet Announces Holy Nights for 2024, Including February 6
The Islamic world has welcomed the arrival of the three sacred months of Rajab, Shaban, and Ramadan on Friday, January 12th. These months are highly anticipated by Muslims every year, as they provide an opportunity to introspect, renew, and enrich their lives with spiritual devotion and intensified worship.
Throughout these months, Muslims commemorate special nights such as Regaip, Miraç, and Berat candles, as well as the Night of Power. Regaip Kandili, which marks the beginning of these sacred months, was celebrated on Thursday, January 11th. According to the Time Calculation Department of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Miraç, the second holy month of the year, is set to take place in February this year.
Following Miraç Kandili on February 6th and Berat Kandili on February 24th, the month of Ramadan, known as the “sultan of eleven months” by Muslims, will commence on March 11th. The Night of Power, which is considered “better than a thousand months” in the Holy Quran, will be observed on April 5th, the 27th night of Ramadan, and Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Fitr on April 10th.
These sacred months hold great significance for Muslims, as they provide an opportunity for self-reflection, spiritual growth, and communal worship. As Muslims around the world embark on this spiritual journey, they seek to strengthen their faith and connect with their religious values.
