Diyarbakir Locals on High Alert as Fugitive Calf Evades Capture for 8 Months

The story of a fugitive calf in Diyarbakır has captured the attention of many, as the animal has managed to evade capture for 8 months. The calf, named ‘Can’, escaped from his owner three months after he was born, fleeing to the edge of the Tigris River. Despite the owner’s efforts to find him, Can has remained elusive.

Şaban Kurt, the owner of the calf, expressed his frustration at not being able to catch Can, stating, “It was three months old. I took it out for the first time while doing this house. When I first hit my uncle’s daughter, then hit me, went out, did not come even more. So the wild animal is now. I fell after the Tigris.”

In an attempt to capture the elusive calf, veterinary teams from the village provided Kurt with a drug needle and gun to aid in the capture. However, Can has continued to roam free in the fields, far away from his home.

TRT News Team managed to locate Can in the field where he escaped, capturing footage of the calf living in the wild for 8 months. Despite numerous attempts to capture him, Can remains at large, evading all efforts to bring him back home. The saga of the fugitive calf continues to captivate the residents of Diyarbakır, as they eagerly await news of his eventual capture.
