The Directorate of Communications’ Center for Combating Disinformation has issued a statement refuting claims circulating on social media regarding the granting of temporary protection status to Afghans who entered Turkey illegally.
According to the statement, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Directorate of Immigration Management, is not engaged in any legal or political studies to grant temporary protection status to Afghans. The Turkish government is continuing its efforts to combat illegal immigration and urges the public to disregard false claims that are not endorsed by official institutions.
