National Swimmer Doğukan Ulaç Secures Spot in Italian Swimming Competition
Doğukan Ulaç, the three-time champion of the “Bosphorus Intercontinental Swimming Race” in 2018, 2022, and 2023, has earned his ticket to Italy after placing second in the 20 plus age group and third in the general classification in the Turkish National Team Selection Race. His success has secured him a spot to participate in the LEN organization in Italy.
With a time of 1:53:22 in the 20 plus age group, Doğukan finished second in the race held in Kocaeli’s Gebze district. Additionally, he took third place in the general classification. Competing for both Tüfekçispor in TRNC and the European Swimming Specialization Sports Club in Turkey, Doğukan Ulaç has been selected to represent the Turkish National Team in Italy.
The swimming prodigy from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be competing in the first leg of the “Open Water Swimming Cup” in Piombino, Italy on May 18. In an interview with BRTSPOR, Doğukan expressed his happiness at being selected for the Turkish National Team and vowed to give his best in Piombino. He also stated that his goal of competing in the international arena with the Turkish National Team will be a focus throughout the season, aiming to achieve his best time.
With this upcoming opportunity in Italy, all eyes will be on Doğukan Ulaç as he continues to make waves in the world of swimming.
