Driver Arrested in Bursa After Dragging Police for Meters

A driver in Bursa’s İnegöl district has been arrested after dragging police officers for meters while trying to escape from a police enforcement point. The incident occurred when police teams operating on Ahmet Akyollu Street in Osmaniye District warned the driver of the car with plate number 16 PH 934 to stop. Ignoring the warning, the driver fled quickly, dragging the police officers who were holding on to the vehicle for meters. In response, the police fired into the air, and the driver was eventually caught after crashing into another car.

The driver, identified as Yusuf K. (20), was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.0 promille in the alcohol test. As a result, he was fined 6,439 TL for drunk driving, and his driver’s license was confiscated for 6 months. Additionally, the driver, who resisted the police during the incident, was detained.

Following his interrogation, the driver was referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested by the court. He has been sent to prison to face charges related to the incident. The reckless actions of this driver have resulted in serious consequences, highlighting the importance of obeying traffic laws and respecting law enforcement authorities.
