Bishkek – The State Control Inspectorate for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan has issued a cautionary alert regarding the presence of harmful bacteria in chocolate sold at Eco Bazaar market in Tashkent. During a routine inspection, officials discovered both E. coli and salmonella in the product labeled as "Dubai chocolate Fix."
The inspection team conducted a test purchase and subsequently sent samples to the O‘zTest laboratory for analysis to evaluate the chocolate’s quality indicators. The results revealed alarming discrepancies in several critical areas:
- An elevated presence of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria.
- The detected presence of E. coli and salmonella in a 25-gram sample of the chocolate, a violation of health regulations that could endanger consumers.
Additionally, the product’s appearance did not conform to required technical standards, raising substantial health concerns. The Inspectorate emphasized that such microbial contamination could pose significant risks to human health, including potential allergic reactions.
Authorities urge consumers to exercise caution and avoid purchasing this particular product until further notice, as safety and public health remain top priorities.
