Earthquake Martyrs Tournament Concludes on Final Day
The Earthquake Martyrs Tournament final was held last night, featuring mixed teams from Mesarya and Famagusta in North Cyprus. The match was played at the Famagusta Dr. Fazıl Küçük Stadium and was broadcast live on BRT 2 at 19:00.
The final match paid tribute to the victims of the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquake, as football players released balloons in honor of the people who lost their lives in the disaster at the four-minute and 17-second mark.
The Northern Cyprus Turkish Football Coaches Association led the tournament, which was organized in cooperation with several other associations, including the Cyprus Turkish Football Federation, the Football Clubs Union, the Cyprus Turkish Football Referees and Observers Association, the Footballers Association, and the Cyprus Turkish Sports Writers Association.
The Earthquake Martyrs Tournament serves as a reminder of the importance of solidarity and unity during difficult times, as well as the power of sports to bring people together.
