Retired Imam and wife found murdered in their home
The quiet district of İçeri Çumra in Konya, Turkey has been shaken by the tragic news of a double homicide. Hüseyin Çoban, a retired imam, and his wife Mürüvvet were found lifeless in their home by their concerned relatives who had not heard from the couple for some time.
Upon discovering the bodies, the relatives immediately alerted the authorities, and a team of health and gendarmerie officers subsequently arrived at the scene. Following their initial examination of the bodies, it was revealed that both Hüseyin and Mürüvvet had been killed with a gun.
The prosecutor has since taken over the investigation, stating that the corpses of the couple will be transferred to Çumra State Hospital’s morgue for an autopsy. The motive for the crime remains unclear at this time.
