“Election Begins in Earthquake-Hit Kahramanmaraş”
Citizens in Kahramanmaraş, the city that was recently struck by an earthquake, have started voting in the President and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections. The citizens cast their votes at container areas that were established in the Zeki Karakız Secondary School in the Onikisubat district. As early as 8:00 in the morning, citizens were forming queues to carry out their civic duty.
One of the voters, Ali Tıraş, emphasized the importance of voting and said that whatever is good for the country, let it be. He expressed his patriotic feelings for his country and his flag. Another citizen, Ahmet Kuru, expressed his hope that the outcome of the elections would be good for the country and wished it luck.
Halil Denizdolduran, one of the earthquake victims, highlighted the importance of voting even during difficult times. He noted that the earthquake had made the elections sad, but voting was still a civic duty that had to be fulfilled.
The voting process has also started in other provinces across Turkey. The country is expected to make a choice that will have a significant impact on its future.
