Electricity Restored in Some Areas After Power Outage in Gönyeli
After a power outage in Gönyeli, it has been reported that electricity has been restored to some areas in the region. However, work is still ongoing to resolve the malfunction in other parts of the city, as well as in the Alayköy and Kanlıköy regions.
The Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) provided an update on the situation, stating that electric current has been provided to the area between Güzelyurt road and Gönyeli Atatürk Street, extending up to the Nicosia ring road circle. Work is continuing in the Batıkent section of the ring road, Alayköy industrial zone, Kanlıköy region, and Alayköy village entrance.
Additionally, efforts are being made to restore energy flow on both sides of Atatürk Street, up to Gönyeli Mosque and the back area of Lazmarin. Energy has also been restored to the region between Artesa and Zorba oil, leading to Gönyeli Atatürk Street.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to stay patient as the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority works to fully resolve the power outages and ensure a stable electricity supply for all residents in Gönyeli and surrounding regions.
