
Eleven Arrested in Osh for Robbery and Terrorism

In Osh city, mass arrests were made in connection to armed robbery, extremism, and terrorism, as reported by the Internal Affairs Department. A group of unidentified individuals had previously committed armed robbery at a currency exchange office, resulting in a loss of 3.6 million soms. Following investigative measures, 17 individuals, including three women, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the robbery. Of the detained suspects, thirteen were arrested by court order, three were placed under house arrest, and one was killed during a special operation in Chui region. Investigators believe that the group is involved in a total of 29 crimes. Additionally, searches conducted in several houses in Osh on November 9 led to the discovery and confiscation of weapons, ammunition, grenades, as well as CDs and literature in Arabic. At least 11 people were detained during the searches, some of whom were previously wanted by authorities. These developments mark a significant step in addressing criminal activity in the region.
