Eliz makes progress towards ‘grand slam’ goal
Eliz Maloney Yorgancı, a rising star in the world of women’s tennis, has reached the 384th place in the World Women’s ranking. Despite facing many challenges on her path, Eliz has remained committed to her dream of participating in grand slam tournaments.
In a recent interview on the “Sports Agenda” program on BRT 1, Eliz’s mother, Ilkay Yorgancı, spoke about the difficulties that her daughter has faced on her journey to success. Ilkay shared that Eliz had to struggle alone without a supportive team, but she still managed to rise up in the rankings.
Ilkay also pointed out that Eliz’s recent achievements are not new to her career. Eliz has been steadily climbing the ranking and has won several tournaments, including the ITF 25 where she made it to the final.
Despite her successes, Eliz has not received much recognition from her country. Ilkay expressed her disappointment that Eliz has not received any support or congratulations from those who should have recognized her achievements.
Ilkay also thanked the people who have given them support and strength along the way. She shared that Eliz plans to participate in tournaments in Spain and Bodrum and her ultimate goal is to participate in the pre-qualifications of the grand slam tournaments.
