Elizabeth Olsen and Alicia Vikander collaborate in new dystopian sci-fi film
Anna Kendrick Joins Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Olsen in Science Fiction Drama “The Assessment”
The cast of the upcoming science fiction drama “The Assessment” continues to grow with the addition of Anna Kendrick. The film, produced by Number 9 Films and Filmproduktion, will also star Oscar winner Alicia Vikander and Emmy nominee Elizabeth Olsen.
In “The Assessment,” Vikander and Olsen will portray a couple living in a world destroyed by climate change. The dystopian society has created a parallel world where life is tightly controlled and optimized, leaving the decision to have children to chance. The couple’s lives will be closely observed by a female evaluator for a duration of seven days.
Kendrick, known for her roles in “Pitch Perfect” and “A Simple Favor,” will bring her talent to the film as well. Filming is set to begin this summer in Cologne, Germany.
Elizabeth Olsen, who recently starred in HBO Max’s true crime drama “Love & Death,” and Alicia Vikander, who has been busy shooting HBO’s “Irma Vep” and “Firebrand,” will join forces in this highly anticipated project. Vikander will portray King VIII’s last wife in “Firebrand,” with Jude Law bringing the historical figure to life.
“The Assessment” marks the feature film directorial debut of French filmmaker Fleur Fortuné. The screenplay was written by Nell Garfath-Cox, Dave Thomas, and John Donnelly.
