Empowering Youth to Combat Climate Change
The “Youth for Climate 2025” competition is now open for applications, offering young people the chance to showcase their innovative ideas for combating climate change and promoting sustainable solutions. Organized by the United Nations Development Programme and the Government of Italy, this competition aims to support youth initiatives that contribute to the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Participants, aged 18-29, as well as non-governmental organizations, can submit their projects in six key areas: Sustainable Energy, Food Systems and Agriculture, Climate and Health, Digital Technologies for the Planet, Climate, Peace, and Security, and Nature for Climate Action. Winners will receive funding of up to $30,000 for project implementation, access to capacity-building programs, and networking opportunities at national, regional, and global levels.
