Energy Minister Ensures No Blackouts Expected as Winter Approaches

Energy Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Taalaibek Ibraev, recently announced that there will be no restrictions on electricity supply during the upcoming autumn-winter period. This announcement was made at a meeting of Eldik deputy group, where he addressed concerns raised by online media outlets regarding potential regulating blackouts for 1-1.5 hours.

Ibraev clarified that while there may be restrictions in place to manage overloads, there will not be planned blackouts as previously reported. The Ministry of Energy will provide information to the media regarding any necessary restrictions, ensuring transparency and accountability in the process.

In preparation for the colder months, the ministry has already secured an agreement for 17.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity and has completed necessary preparations. Ibraev emphasized that compared to previous years, the level of preparation is much better this year, with improved infrastructure and resources in place to prevent any disruptions in electricity supply.

Overall, the situation is improving every year, with the ministry ensuring that all necessary supports, wires, and transformers are in place to maintain a stable supply of electricity throughout the country. Residents can rest assured that there will be no major disruptions in electricity supply during the upcoming autumn and winter seasons.
