
English Premier League 2022-2023 starts with Man City vs Burnley showdown

The English Premier League has announced the fixtures for the 2023-2024 season, set to kick off in August. The opening match will see champions Manchester City take on Burnley on August 11th at Turf Moor. This will be a special match for Burnley as it will be their former captain Vincent Kompany’s team going head-to-head with his former club. Kompany, who won four English Premier League titles with Manchester City during his playing career from 2008 to 2019, is now manager of Burnley.
In another exciting fixture of the opening week, Chelsea will face Liverpool on August 13th at Stamford Bridge. Both teams are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2022-23 season and aim to reclaim the top position in the league.
