Enter Engineering Employees Struggle with Prolonged Salary Delays Amid Escalating Labor Disputes

Employees at Enter Engineering’s management office have reached out to Kun.uz with complaints about not receiving their salaries for several months. The employees expressed their concerns that the recent Boysun mine accident might further delay their overdue wages.

The complaints stated that office employees at Enter Engineering have not been paid since April, which means it has been a total of six months without payment. Despite inquiries about the reason for the delays, management has simply responded with “there is no money.” This lack of response has left many employees frustrated and has led some to resign from their positions.

The aftermath of the Boysun mine accident, which occurred on September 1, has added an extra layer of uncertainty for the employees. Enter Engineering, along with Eriell, are contractors for this project, with Enter Engineering responsible for various aspects of the mine’s development. The accident has raised concerns about possible further delays in salary payments for the employees.

Earlier reports had also indicated issues with salary payments for Enter Engineering workers involved in other projects, such as the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. Employees working on the third copper processing plant at the complex had gone without pay since May 2024, prompting concerns and protests.

In response to these complaints, Enter Engineering began making payments to some workers on September 7-8. However, employees at the management office and in regional offices have yet to receive their overdue salaries. The company’s press service confirmed that salaries are being gradually paid but advised against publicizing the issue at this time.

This is not the first time Enter Engineering has faced criticism and complaints regarding delayed salary payments. In the past, there have been reports of workers protesting due to unpaid wages, with some employees stating they had not been paid for several months.

Affiliated company Eriell also faces similar issues, with employees reporting that they have not received their salaries for three months. The situation has led some employees to resign in frustration over the lack of payment.

According to the Labor Code, employees must be paid at least once every half month. Enter Engineering and Eriell, both registered abroad, are controlled by Uzbek entrepreneur Bakhtiyor Fazilov. His business activities extend to other industries, including a project to expand the largest gas storage facility in the country.
