Environmental Inspector Assaulted During Night Shift in Khorezm Region

Inspector of the Khorezm National Natural Park Injured in Assault by Farm Manager
Amurbek Orinov, an inspector at the Khorezm National Natural Park, was injured while on duty after being beaten by a farm manager during his night patrol. The incident occurred when Orinov attempted to prevent a violation at the “Amudaryo Oltin Balik” farm, where 3,000 elm seedlings were at risk of being killed due to flooding from a nearby rice field.
The Ministry of Ecology reported that the farm had ignored warnings to rectify the situation, leading to the confrontation between Orinov and the intoxicated farm manager. As a result, Orinov was hospitalized at the Yangibazar regional emergency medical care facility for treatment.
This is not the first time the head of the “Amudaryo Oltin Balik” farm has been involved in violations at the Khorezm National Natural Park. The Ministry of Ecology noted that the farm manager had previously received punishment for a similar offense.
The incident has been reported to the district police department, and investigations are ongoing. The safety and well-being of park inspectors are crucial in enforcing environmental regulations and protecting natural habitats.
Efforts are being made to ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable for their actions and that measures are put in place to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The Ministry of Ecology is closely monitoring the situation and is committed to protecting the integrity of the Khorezm National Natural Park.
