
Erdoğan Presents President Mirziyoyev with Order of the Turkish Republic

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev Honored with “Order of the Turkish Republic”
President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was recently awarded the prestigious “Order of the Turkish Republic” by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The highest state award of Turkey was presented to President Mirziyoyev in Ankara on June 6th, marking a significant moment in the bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
Expressing his gratitude for the honor, President Mirziyoyev stated, “It is a great honor for me to receive such a high award from the Republic of Turkey on the day of signing the Declaration on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our countries.” He emphasized the deep-rooted ties between the two nations and the positive trajectory of their bilateral relations.
The “Order of the Turkish Republic” is a symbol of the strong bond and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, recognizing government officials who have contributed significantly to fostering friendly relations between the two countries.
In a reciprocal gesture of appreciation, President Mirziyoyev had previously awarded Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with the Order of Imam Bukhari of the highest degree in November 2022. This particular order is reserved for distinguished individuals, including scholars, researchers, writers, as well as heads of state and government, for their valuable contributions to the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of the Islamic heritage.
