President Erdogan Delivers Propaganda Speech Ahead of General Elections in Turkey
President Erdogan delivered his first propaganda speech on TRT ahead of the General Elections for the President and the 28th Term of Parliament to be held on May 14. Erdogan appealed to the Turkish people by stating that he had always been in their presence at different levels of politics since his early youth and had led a life under their supervision. According to Erdogan, in all of the 15 elections he has entered so far, he has carried out the management responsibility of the country with the approval of Turkish citizens at the ballot box. Erdogan also acknowledged the shortcomings and mistakes of his administration, but claimed that his government had worked sincerely and with all its might to produce works and provide services.
Erdogan further stated that with the support of Turkish citizens, his government had brought works that multiply the entire history of the Republic to Turkey. With reforms implemented in the last 21 years, the government had not only completed the deficiencies of the country’s democracy and development infrastructure but had also realized a historical mentality revolution that had embraced every individual who felt excluded from their country and state.
Erdogan acknowledged the achievements of Turkish citizens in different fields and stated that the government was proud of all its citizens who add value to Turkey. He referred to the upcoming elections as a critical turning point in the realization of the ‘Century of Turkey’. Erdogan emphasized that his government always follows the advice of ‘let people live, so that the state can live’ and aims for the continuation of Turkey’s security and peace, the enlightenment of children’s futures, and the rise of the Turkish Century.
Erdogan concluded his speech by urging Turkish citizens to make their choice for the Century of Turkey on May 14 and to choose the continuation of trust and stability for the future of their children. He expressed confidence that his government would win such a victory on May 14 that no individual of the country would lose.
