Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Casts His Vote in Istanbul
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has cast his vote in Istanbul for the General Elections for the President and the 28th Term Member of Parliament. Erdogan went to Saffet Çebi Primary School in Üsküdar Kısıklı to vote and was welcomed by AK Party Istanbul Provincial President Osman Nuri Kabaktepe.
Citizens greeted Erdogan with cheers as he arrived to cast his vote, after holding his last rallies in Istanbul the day before. Following the rallies, Erdogan went to visit the Hagia Sophia in the evening.
In a statement to the media, the President stated that he hopes the electoral process continues without any issues. He also emphasized the importance of those in the earthquake region casting their votes, demonstrating the power of Turkish democracy.
Erdogan’s vote marks an important moment in Turkish politics, with citizens eagerly awaiting the announcement of results for both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
