Examining Akylbek Japarov’s Earnings for the 2023 Declaration Campaign
The Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan has recently started releasing income declarations of officials for the year 2023. Among the information disclosed was the income and property details of the former chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov.
According to the report, Akylbek Japarov reportedly earned 2,826,652.72 soms during the specified period. It was revealed that he still owns only an apartment measuring 77.5 square meters.
Interestingly, there was no information provided in the “Close relatives” section of the declaration. This raises questions about the transparency and completeness of the disclosed information.
It is worth noting that in the declaration for the year 2021, Akylbek Japarov had declared earning 1,471 million soms and had also listed the same apartment as his sole property.
Furthermore, similar to the lack of information about close relatives, there was also a absence of data on the income and property of his immediate family members in the released declaration.
