An Excavation Truck Overturns on Ankara Street after Tires Explode
An unfortunate incident occurred on Ankara Street when two tires of a gravel-loaded excavation truck exploded. The truck, with license plate number 35 AJR 087, was being driven by Ç.Ö. when it lost control and hit the median, causing the trailer to overturn.
Emergency services were quickly called to the scene, with both medical and police teams arriving promptly. The injured driver was attended to by medical personnel and subsequently taken to Izmir City Hospital for further treatment.
Due to the accident, the road had to be closed to traffic as the overturned trailer needed to be lifted with the assistance of a crane. Additionally, the gravel spilled onto the street had to be cleared before the road could be reopened for commuters.
