Expansion of Osh Airport to Utilize Over 37 Hectares of Irrigated Land.

Expansion of Osh Airport Territory Approved by Kyrgyz Government
In a recent development, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, has signed a resolution to transform more than 37 hectares of irrigated land to expand the territory of Osh airport. The decision aims to enhance the area of the Osh branch of Airports of Kyrgyzstan JSC.
The identified plots, which amount to 37.397 hectares of irrigated arable land under state ownership, are situated in the Manas aiyl aimak of Kara-Suu district in the Osh region. They will undergo a change in classification from “Agricultural land” to “Lands of industry, transport, communications, energy, defense, and other purposes.”
Furthermore, the Kara-Suu state administration has been tasked with updating the land registration documents, ensuring the appropriate usage of the land, and developing and approving urban development plans for these areas. Additionally, measures will be taken to safeguard historical and cultural heritage sites, with the involvement of an archaeologist for supervision during excavations and construction activities in compliance with regulations on heritage protection.
This decision is expected to facilitate the expansion and development of the Osh airport infrastructure, catering to the growing needs of the region and enhancing connectivity through air travel. Stay tuned for further updates on this project.
