Regional directors of the World Bank and representatives of the International Finance Corporation were also present at the meeting, which took place in Ashgabat on February 28, 2025.

The importance of ensuring that any construction of hydraulic structures and water management facilities on transboundary rivers in Central Asia meets high international standards in terms of technology, environmental impact, and technical specifications was also underscored during the discussions.

Additionally, the participants delved into joint efforts in the areas of transportation, interconnectivity, methane emission reduction, and the promotion of renewable energy sources.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to further enhancing their cooperation and collaboration in various key areas for the mutual benefit of Turkmenistan and the World Bank.
